The tabeo does pretty much everything an adult tablet can do, but its was designed with kids in mind. It has a built it camera and video recorder. It also comes with tons of fun apps already downloaded, many of which I know my son had to pay for with other devices. Just some of the app lineup includes Fruit Ninja, My Little Pony, Bejeweled 2, Forever Friends (a Fraggle Rock game) and many more. There's also a calculator , preloaded books, apps to help learn Spanish and more. I really loved the diversity of the games. There were learning games my three-year-old daughter can enjoy and just as many for my eleven-year-old son.

Getting started on the tabeo will take a little more effort than most devices. You have the choice between going online or making a phone call. Going online will be more convenient, but you'll get charged $1 and have to use your credit card. I opted to phone in my request. The woman I dealt with was very helpful and walked me through getting it started up and getting the parental controls ready. Then they give you a password that will let you get into the games. This extra step is there only for your children's security.

Once the device was activated, I had to pick parental controls. The tablet has online capabilities, but the great thing is I can pick exactly which websites my kids can access, so I know they can't get onto websites that may not be safe for them. You can even limit the amount of time they play the games. And speaking of making it safe for kids, I love that it comes with the protective cover. With young children involved, you know it's going to get dropped, and this gives the tablet an extra layer of protection. The touch screen works great whether with a stylus or just a finger. Its not oversensitive. My kids love everything about the tabeo. The only issue I have is getting them to put it down.
