By Mark Hanna
So I have had the device for 2 days. Hulu does not work! Was having issues with it restarting on its own but I figured out it was a power issue and after plugging it in to wall its working ok. Won't get location with wifi. Other than that stuff', pretty zippy' good product but get hulu working please!

4Makes the TV into a tablet with limited functionality
By Shreya Aiyar
This is a fantastic product, provided the needs are limited and you are not trying to do anything beyond a tablet (any Android based tablets). The installation is a breeze, just connect the dongle to the HDMI port of your TV. In my case I had to use the included HDMI extension cable as the dongle ends up covering other HDMI ports on the TV.

The screen came up with no problems, connecting to my house WiFi was breeze, just like a tablet would, and we were up and running, so it seems. Remember there is no keyboard or mouse that come with this, and obviously the TV does not have touch or hand gestures (yet); I ordered a Logitech Bluetooth wireless keyboard with touchpad. Two days later, I attached the Wireless Keyboard with Touchpad and it worked as expected.

Now I had a TV based tablet computer, with a keyboard and mouse, and a grainy display screen where scrolling through the content is an exercise in patience. Now we could surf the internet, check email, watch Internet videos etc, just like the tablet, MacBook, and the Desktop computer we have.

The ONLY reason I bought this is to play home videos on the TV without using the Blu-ray player. I DID NOT want another computer/tablet/laptop in our house. My plan was to copy the video files to a 1TB USB based external hard disk and attach it to this dongle. Unfortunately, when I play a home video, it skips frames, plays only audio, or has a 3 to 5 second lag between the sound and the video portion. After 3 days of working on this, I was fed up. The processing ability of the dongle is weak to play video files properly. It is grossly under powered for this.

In a nutshell, in addition to this product, you will also need
1. A Bluetooth wireless keyboard and a mouse that work off the USB 2.0 port.
2. A USB 2.0 Hub that will allow connection of Hard disk or anything else, in addition to the keyboard.

This product makes your TV into a Android Tablet without the touch input and a large display with poor fonts and display features (as TV display is not as fine as the Computer display). It is a great product for limited uses.

I have gone back to writing the home video files to Blu-ray disks and enjoying it on the Blu-ray player. It is reliable, keeps the resolution and beauty of my videos and WORKS ALWAYS. Yes it is lot of work with Blu-ray discs, but I need a working solution.

4Good Android Mini PC for the price!
By Matthew E.
Well I have had this for about 4 weeks now and no issues. It turns your TV in to a big Android tablet. Works as expected and the Wifi reception works better then I expected. I am using it from a 2nd floor bedroom at the far corner of my house from my wireless router which is on the ground floor and do not have any issues as of yet. I paired it with a cheap Logitech K400 wireless keyboard with trouchpad ($29.99) and it works great. Beware though I first tried a PassPort from Amazon which was suppose to be from PassPort iteslf, but it seemed to be a cheap knockoff from China so I returned it since the touchpad was choppy and the keyboard repaeated characters all the time. The quality of the device itself seems to be rather good, but the one complaint I have so far is that on most TVs you can not plug it directly in to the HDMI port without using the pigtail dongle that comes with it. The only downside of the pigtail dongle is that it uses the micro USB port and also requires the use of the AC adapter that comes with it, instead of powering the device off the HDMI port. Outside of that I am very happy with the device and are most likely going to buy 3 more for my kids TVs so I can standarize on these small streaming meadia clients that I currently use with FiOS Mobile, HBO Go and My Western Digial My Cloud NAS drive. If other people buy this please post what you are using these devices for as they are very versitale since the can use any of the APPS from the Play Store.
