This item is pretty awesome for the price. Came with lots of side items like a micro to usb cord, adapter, stylus, screen protector, and cheap little earbuds. Now, for the part everyone wants to know before they buy.
First of all, tablets are not meant to replace laptops and desktop pc's. If you want full computer functions, get a computer. Tablets are on-the-go entertainment devices. This one has google-play, youtube, netflix, e-reader, yadda-yadda.
The device is not built for super-storage or lightening speed. If you are a hardcore gamer or don't want skype to lag, have load-rage and rant and rave at your device if it takes pages a moment to load, this is not for you. The touch screen lacks a crisp response and the ram is too low to offer quick interactions.
Now, that being said, this tablet is perfect for children. Apps work smoothly and perfectly. Lots of free games have already been downloaded to my daughter's tablet, which I got her for her birthday and she loves it. Media plays smoothly and loads quickly. I home-school and the reading primer/workbook we use can be viewed on this tablet AND I found some awesome learning apps we are going to play with.
If you do anything other than facebook, twitter, email, web meandering, listen to music, this is not for you. If you want a great tool for your children to have some games, music, learning tools, and watch tv shows/movies on the go or anywhere you can get wifi/hotspot, then this is a good investment. If you need a little more, be prepared to pay for it. I would never buy this product for myself because I am a tech snob, but my baby-girl, age 7, is enamored. Thanks to the seller for providing an economic device for the next generation to learn and get familiar with the technology they are going to be using in a few years.
UPDATE 11/18/13
I have to update this review, but don't worry, it is only due to the fact that I have used it for almost a month and the more I learn how to use it and what it does, it just gets better and better. Not only did I discover that it was faster than I first thought and the touch screen becomes more reactive if you just play with the settings (there is an app for that), but it also runs emulators without a hitch. This device just replaced the Nintendo DS and the television for my daughter. She also uses it to make little movies starring her favorite toys. How cute!
I have to brag a bit on the customer service I have received, too. There seemed to be a problem with the battery and it wouldn't keep charge. It happens sometimes, right? Being a computer geek and working on electronics a lot I understand that sometimes hardware can come out of the box defective due to a glitch in the manufacturing process of the component. I was a little nervous about the refund/exchange process because the company is a little new and there isn't a lot of tech support available yet. I didn't need to be. I requested a return and after discussing the problems I was having the customer support team immediately apologized and reassured me, and sent me a link to print a return shipping label. I just received an email that our new tablet is getting shipped to us tomorrow.
I am so excited to get the new tablet without the battery problem, because after using it, I have discovered how great it really is, and I think I have to say that even if you are a tech snob, like me, this little gadget from this seller is pretty cool. I didn't think I would get one for me, but I think I'll just have to eat those words and get my very own.

These guys are great, the help is free...just read the rules and be respectful and they will gladly help you with any android/allwinner question you might have if it isn't already addressed. This is where I found the driver I needed for my usb connection to work properly on my Windows 8 laptop. You can also search for "softwiner evb" on google to find more things, but honestly, the forum I linked is amazing and should be a one-stop.

Tablet came a day early, started up right out of the box. We've used it until the battery has run out multiple times, hasn't crashed once. Came with a free screen cover, USB cord, earbuds and stylus... BONUS!

I purchased this item for my daughter. It included the tablet power cord usb cord a stylus head phones and a screen protector. very pleased. works great has a lot of useful apps.
