AWESOME
By ladyblessedn4gvn
I am in awe of my Le Pan S. I was somewhat concerned when I realized the 8gb storage was actually 4gb on the tablet combined with a 4gb sd card. Even when using my phone I go through that pretty quickly. The biggest key is how everything is stored. I bought the Le Pan S in the hopes that it would be a lighter choice for taking with me to work and school.
Today I received my 64gb microsdxc card. The instructions for formatting it were on lepanlife.com. I also received a Bluetooth keyboard, and I paired it up and began using it in less than 30 seconds. At first I was unable to get the microsdxc card to format to fat32, and even when using my laptop it would not format it into that specific format. I had to download EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition from downloads.cnet.com. After doing this the microsdxc was placed in the adapter. After installing the program I carefully followed the prompts, made sure allocation unit size was 32k and in fat32 format. In less than a minute I was putting the newly formatted card in the Le Pan S, and IT WORKS! From what I have read you can purchase up to 128gbsdxc cards and format them, and they will also work.
Sideload flash, ipod/ipad 30-pin cords can be altered to work for charging and syncing. Battery power is awesome. Over 11 hours with continuous reading and occasional internet surfing. No problems with wifi connections.

Great Price Great Product.

This is our Third LePan Tablet and we LOVE THEM ALL! The Lepan S is Faster and works Better. Easy and Fun to Use. The Best part is the Price. Where else can you get this Much Good thing in such a Small Package for such a Small Price...and I paid more then they are selling for Now. Definitely worth the money You won't regret this purchase.
Their customer service seems to be Busy because of problems with the Lepan ll. Which did not do as well as the original lepan and the lepan s. They seem to be really busy and you get hung up on a lot, but if you are patient you will get through. We had to send one of ours back due to a technical issue. I was advised to put our name and case number all over the package so that it would not be Lost in the process. It went smoothly and we received our replacement , a New Lepan in the mail within a week of them receiving it. Good Customer support if you can be patient.
Over all I believe the Lepan brand to be far Above the Others it is Competing with. Le Pan S S-BK 9.7-Inch Tablet (Black)

A bargain at twice the price
By Zane Stillings
Like a lot of others, I purchased this at Wal-Mart.Com for $179.00. Naturally, the day mine arrived, the price dropped to $159! But no hard feelings; at nearly the third of the price of the iPad, and half the price (or less) of similar "name" tablets, the Le Pan S is a steal and then some. I've heard and read all the horror stories about their customer service (or lack thereof), but the tablet itself is first-class all the way. The resolution is not on par with the new iPad (which my girlfriend owns), but what is? I run a whole lot of streaming video on it (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant, and now, Redbox Instant), and it does the job just fine with no overheating issues. The battery is average-to-above average, not outstanding but certainly not terrible. Processor can handle quite a bit of multi-tasking app-wise without slowing down noticeably. GMS certified is a nice touch for this price point; try finding that on anything else in the $200 range (aside from the Nexus 7; I'm referring to the 9.7 inch and above crowd, of course). Aesthetically, it's a little offbeat but feels solid in your hands. There are a few downsides, such as the proprietary 30-pin connector nonsense, but again, at this price, I can easily live with that. Basic storage is a little measly, but nothing a cheap micro SD card cannot improve. There's no rear-facing camera, but honestly, full-sized tablets are not exactly easy-to-hold cameras anyway, and the front-facing cam, while not extraordinary, works well (I've experimented with a few Skype calls and such, and have had no problems at all). All in all, it's a great deal even in this crowded tablet market. The processor is bound to be outpaced soon enough, but as this is Le Pan's third iteration, it stands to reason that support and updates for it should be available long enough for the tablet to pay for itself. If you aren't shelling out the dough for an iPad, or, like me, you are a stubborn Android loyalist, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better value for the size, quality and features of the S. I don't think I'm going to regret this purchase one bit. Z
