4great cheap little tablet
By sp3ct0r
this thing is great. runs android 4 very well, was easy to set up out of box and runs all apps i have installed from the play store very well. transferred music and movies from both my mac and windows 7 pc without a problem. would def get another one

got a usb keyboard for it and it works very well with no set up necessary

32gb expansion was flawless and only ran me $17

hdmi output is easy

only things that detract from this tab are the 2-3 hour battery life and the speaker is weak

headphones work great with it and screen is bright and very responsive

if they work on battery life it would be a much more significant rival to mainstream tablets

i would rather have 2 of these than one kindle fire or nook color, both restrictive and pricy for what they offer

2MID70416W -- Dragon Touch - 16GB White **Updated**
By Adan Chaires
First let me clear out the air by clearing up some confusion I had when I purchased it to help you out.
***Important Tablet Technical info***
(Info from Kindle App)
Android SDK Version ....4.0.4
API Level ..............15
CPU (A10)
Processors/Cores........1
Minimum Speed...........60MHz
Maximum Speed...........1008MHz
RAM
Total Memory............814.29MB (manual states 1GB of ram)
Display
Resolution..............480x752
Diagonal Size...........5.68"
(info from Android settings)
Internal Storage........404MB
Internal SD storage.....13.6GB (this is how much of the Internal 16GB you can use)
(other information)
It has: WIFI, Standard 3.5mm Audio Jack, Usb Mini port, HDMI Mini port, MicroSD port, 0.3mpx (front) camera,
5 point capacitive touch screen, 3 capacitive buttons (Menu, back, Home), 3 Physical buttons (vol +/-,power)
Power outlet port (12v 2A)
It does NOT have: 3g/4g, Bluetooth, rear camera, flash (for camera), GPS
--------------------------------------------------------
***Apps***
Issues:
I had issues installing and moving to Internal "SDCARD" (13.6GB available) at first, it occurred after the first wave of apps I installed, it happened after i turned off the tablet and turned it back on. It was easily remedied by re-installing the app, stopping the application and then transferring. There were no further issues after that, all apps that I have attempted to install and run have successfully done so.
Information:
It comes pre-installed with Google Play (market)& Adobe Flash Player 11.1, stock camera/video app, file viewer, Video/Picture Viewer (its the same app), Sound record app, Music app, Gmail app, clock, browser, calendar, calculator.
Things you can install that I was able to test for you:
Google Chrome, Arcade by Kongregate, Amazon Kindle, Amazon App Store, App2SD, Dolphin Browser 8.7, Perfect Viewer, MX Player, OS monitor, Root Explorer, YouTube (did not come pre-installed)
***Final Notes***
It does charge via USB but the battery drains too quickly; settings must be changed such as disable wifi while in sleep mode, low screen brightness when not needed, exiting out of applications as to not keep them running in the background when at all possible.
Screen is not visible at an angle and must be viewed directly for a clear image, but if you are using this as a book/comic-book reader then its acceptable by normal standards. You will read and be able to see clear defined colors, small text is legible as long as you are viewing the screen directly.
I added a MicroSD 32gb Class 10 to my tablet and it works amazingly well with no issues whatsoever, eg. does not pop out easily, minimal effort to place inside (as long as you have some kind of grip and had not eaten greasy chicken or something in the last 5 min, im sure you will be ok) *** advice*** The "pins" on you microSD will be facing away from you if the tablet screen is facing you.
I own a pair of Skullcandy Smokin' Buds w/Mic1 with a 4 section audio pin (traditionally used for hands free calling/answering/activate radio player/Etc.) since the tablet has a standard 3 pin audio port these simply work as standard headphones. Its not a deal breaker its just something to simply take note of.
***Overall***Well should I get it?????***
I would like to thank those of you who read my review, it took me some time to compress everything into something semi readable. I wrote it because I could not find these questions answered when I was seeking information to make my purchase.
Although this tablet wont be winning any awards for best in class for anything, it is still quite a device with I'll admit a sub par battery, but if you spend the extra $20 to upgrade from 4gb to 16gb I can say you wont regret it. I can also say I've done some research and this is quite a deal you will not find anything near this for $100 price range. If you think I missed anything or wish for me to test an app (hopefully one that I don't have to pay for) for you just let me know in the comments and I will reply as promptly as I can. (why do this? because despite its short failings i think this is a great tablet for those on a budget. I love my tablet, am thinking of purchasing another and think if you are on a budget you will too)

Update 11/16/12 (cables HDMI-mini and USB-mini adapter)
I finally obtained an HDMI to HDMI-mini cable a USB(f)to USB-mini(m) adapter. Had no issues playing hooking up to my HDtv (1080p 120hz) with no issues, everything looks good and HDMI cable had audio and video.
USB(f) to USB-mini(m) adapter is possibly my second favorite cable accessory as now I can plug in a USB keyboard on the tablet and type to my hearts content, it works just by plugging it in, unless it was disabled. Although even if disabled it can be easily re-enabled by plugging in the keyboard and going into the "Keyboard and Input Methods" under Settings and then flip to ON. With this adapter you can also add a regular USB flash drive with a simple settings change as well.

Update 11/26/12 My power adapter has failed, the power pin that connects to my tablet has come loose from my within the power cable. Attempts at fixing it would require careful soldering at which at this time I am not proficient enough to fix (also I would not fix if I could just as easily get it replaced). Currently I am trying to get a hold of the manufacturer to see what I can do about it or how I can obtain a replacement. Their website tabletexpress.com has a phone number address and online form. The online form seems to have some kind of error with their web server and seems they are not receiving any kind of feed back from those forms. I will follow up with further information for those of you that may need it.

**12/11/12
Final update-- after the tablet failed shortly before return period, I found the manufacturer has no support on this product in fact their phone number requests that you email them from amazon and this is during their hours of operation on their voice prompt. So I have requested for a refund on this item, and since the price has gone up since my purchase, there are several other alternatives that I have found out since. If you still want something relatively similar to this product but don't mind paying just a bit more here is a much better equivalent to this tablet. Better screen (color, resolution, viewing angle), bluetooth, front and rear higher resolution cameras than this tablet, basically a huge upgrade in every way, even the battery life is almost 3-5 times better. Lighter if you are planing to use it for prolonged periods. [...]
Since customer service is important for me, I think I will end up transitioning to a much more concrete tablet/media device. I hope my review has assisted you in some way but I hope it helps you in choosing for yourself.

**2/28/13
Afterword -- What most of you are looking for is "Filemate Clear tablet" Lighter, and better in almost every way, including battery life. I hope you all find what you are looking for.

5absolutely a bargain
By Danielle
let me start by saying that I ordered this tablet from TabletExpress, and I am more than impressed with their service. I had the product in my hand within three days of ordering, it's exactly what I ordered, nothing missing, excellent packing. I was wary after reading some other reviews where people didn't get the right product.

I've been resisting the urge to buy a tablet since I first drooled over the iPad years ago, but I never could justify spending that much when I already have a laptop, iPod touch, Kindle and Nook, and smartphone that pretty much covers all my electronics bases. the reason I started shopping for one was to have something I can bring with me to work to write and to play games on during downtime, since I got tired of hauling my laptop with me (and besides that, it's not easy to hide when my boss comes strolling in unexpectedly!) when I saw the price on this tablet, I decided to go for it, thinking that even if it turns out to be a piece of junk, then at least I'll know that it's worth it to spent a few hundred on something decent.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little tablet. I popped it out of the box, turned it on, and promptly began downloading apps and customizing to my liking. I had no problems connecting to my WiFi and quickly got it synced to all my other devices and accounts. it's not lightning-fast, as to loading and quitting programs, but I wasn't expecting that and I don't really care. all my games and stuff run fine with no lag.

the battery isn't superb. while playing music, watching videos, trying games, and downloading, I ran it down to 20% in about two hours. it still lasts at least as long as the battery on my iPod while playing games. the music quality from the speaker is good, with headphones it's better. video quality seems to alternate between good and excellent - I don't know if it's the different programs or just different videos come out in better quality. I wasn't expecting, nor looking for iPad-quality sound and video; for the price, what this tablet delivers is more than adequate.

all in all, I'd call this definitely a bargain; well worth the hundred bucks.
