A Lot of bang for the buck.
By Oracle of Delphi
The tablet came in a white box and packaged like a cell phone. As a matter of fact, a lot of things on this device are like a cell phone, but I'll get to that in a sec.
The contents are the tablet, a power adapter cable (dc adapter with a very small tip, probably hard to find also). And two usb cables. The cables are kind of weird so pay close attention here.
on one cable, there is a male mini-a usb connector to a standard-A recepticle. This allows me to attach a usb device to the tablet; such as a usb broadband dongle. the other cable is a male mini-a usb to male standard-a usb connector. This allows me to connect my tablet to a computer. So the single usb mini plug on the tablet is two-way. I've never seen such a design before and I'm sure it will cause me some problems in the future. One such problem is that I'll have to use the dc adapter (wall charger) if I want to charge my tablet while using a broadband dongle.
For those who are unfamiliar, usb comes in three main connections:
1. micro-a usb (the standard for most cell phones, has a crescent moon shaped tip.
2. mini-a usb, has a top-hat shaped connector
3. standard-a usb is your regular rectangle shaped connection.
The tablet can charge via usb, so that is a pretty big plus. It would have been a deal breaker for me if it didn't. [Update] you may have to turn the tablet off for it to charge. Please see my update at the bottom of this review. [/Update]
Also another rarity is the HDMI connection. the slot for HDMI is a mini-HDMI (Type C) connection, so you'll need a converter to HDMI type A for your devices. This cable is not included.
Lastly, there is an RCA jack for headphones.
Being a droid, the standard soft buttons are present (home, menu, back and search).
other hardware buttons are a power button and volume up and down.
There is a slot for a micro SD card and an unused slot for a sim card. Mine did not have an EVDO modem, so if I were to stick a sim card in it, it would slide right in like a quarter in a soda machine and probably rattle around inside the tablet until I opened it up and removed it.
The micro SD card works fine for a 32gb sim card.
I have to admit that I was disappointed that the item looked nothing like the picture. I'll have to post some pictures of this thing, but there's a half inch border from the edge of the device to the screen all the way around. The volume buttons also set kind of loose. I'm not worried about the buttons falling out, but they feel as if they're not snugly pushing against the hardware. It won't win any awards for a sexy design.
The construction in general isn't very tight, lights from the internal LED shine through various slits in the casing.
The whole unit is about the size of your average DVD case.
The battery can drain rather quickly and this thing takes a long time to charge. At high power drain, this thing can last only two hours. from a dead state, it took me 3 hours to fully charge it using usb. Turning it off should lessen this time significantly.
The device does have Android 2.2.1 and does use the U.S. android market. While using this thing, I get the feeling that I'm using something closer to a rooted phone as opposed to a tablet. I suspect they simply flashed a generic Android phone firmware onto this thing as there is a lot of support for phone features. Keep in mind that without any type of actual phone hardware, these features are useless. This device is NOT rooted.
I've been able to install everything that runs on my HTC thunderbolt with a few exceptions. This thing doesn't work too well with g-sensor based software.
The best example I can give is that it freezes whenever I try to run racing games that use tilting to control the game. Other software like readers use the auto rotate feature without issue.
I've installed skype on this thing and it works marvelously (that includes video chatting), in fact I enjoy calling this thing a skyping reader. the built in speakers leave much to be desired (they really suck).
I could have sworn that this was advertised as having GPS built in, but that functionality is usually part of an EVDO or GSM modem. Since this device doesn't have one, it shouldn't surprise you that it doesn't have stand alone GPS.
The wireless N card is great and very necessary. I use this as a media extender to work with my desktop and stream music and videos from my PC to be watched on the tablet.
It's got all the basics of an android device (except some g-sensor functionality as I've mentioned) so go nuts with the android market.
I find it almost as powerful as a galaxy-s, but half the price.
Overall I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
[Update]Make sure you use a power supply that is rated at .850A or higher. The DC charger supplied is 2A. If you're using a .5A charger, make sure to turn the device off otherwise it won't charge. On another note, power drain is surprisingly slow. As a reader, It can go a week without charging. Turning on the WiFi and playing games on it is a whole different story though and it will drain as fast as a regular android phone.[/Update]

I wish I could give it a good review...

The seller was fine and we recieved the device promptly. The other tablet PC works great. However, this device didn't work. After the device loaded, the home screen held no icons and the device froze up. The touchscreen does not work properly and the images on the screen shake or move on their own. Clicking on any icons resulted in a funky pop up that had little or no information on it. I am very disappointed with this product. Hopefully the seller will replace this with a new one and it will work the way that the other buyer commented, because that is really what I am looking for in a tablet PC.
Update:
The seller provided useful information on factory resetting the device. Fortunately this worked and the device downloaded some updates and was up and running perfectly. Now I am satisfied with it. I won't give it the full 5 stars though just because I had to hassle with it initially.
