1Worst pad I have owned.
By ND Mike
I have never written a 1 star review before on a tablet, I always find something redeeming. Not in this case. The display was OK, but that is about it. The Wifi was weak. After several tweaks it would not get any better. Has to be the hardware or antenna. For the price I wasn't willing to crack the case to find out if it could be fixed internally. The OMAP processor was painfully slow, not scoring much better that a Allwinner A10 single core. I believe it is the same OMAP that is in the Excite 10LE but even slower.

I believe this is probably a clone of the Marquis 9.7 or vice versa. Specs are identical but the Marquis at least performs well when compared to other tablets with the same specs.

As I said I didn't crack the case b ut this tablet is supposed to have a 6000mAh battery. If that is the case the one I got must have had a defective battery because at best with WiFi on I was getting 4-4.5 hours max. That is more like a 4000mAh battery.

Knowing it only came with 4GB internal I was ready for that. What I wasn;t ready for was they set up the partitions so only 1.5GB was available for user space. So at best you can have a movie and a couple of books, never mind a decent game.

There are so many dual core tablets out there for under $200 that use the RK3066 chipset which actually can compare to a quad core performance in the real world that this tablet is completely a wast of money. IF I was offered one for free I would turn it down unless shipping was free as well.

5I love it!!! Not a $499 ipad... But my family loves it

This is actually remarkably quite fast.. We compared the speed to our neighbors Asus quad core tablet... And our speeds come super razor thin close! He spent about $599 , and we only spent $198 free shipping. Little Johnny taks it everywhere, and his other brother would fight with him. Battery last the whole day.

One con.. I need a leather case for this. Aluratek will you please carry them soon!

I owe several tablets and have to say for the price this one is very nice. Has many extra features and over my WiFi responds fast.. You definitely have to install the SD card and move as many items to the card as possible to ensure the processing speed remains good. I mainly use it for online games and video screening and so far so good. I do clean the caches daily for all the apps I use and that keeps it from lagging as well.
