1Big disappointment Would not even give one star.
By Princess Sponge
I purchased this tablet before I left for my vacation. I did not have time to check it out fully before I left town. I would have returned. It would not stay connected to the wi-fi, but I took it to be the hotel connection. It only held a charge for just over an hour and it claims to be for 6 hours. I went on line to find a manual and there isn't one Now that I am home problems are only getting worse. Apps don't download properly; Had to reset it twice due to it not performing correctly; Quick guide not very helpful. It does not always connect to charge leaving you thinking it is charging and when you return, it is almost totally dead. NOW it is completely dead. Won't turn on or even charge. It does not has a reset switch. Now after having it just over a month - I am out a functioning tablet and now have to start to save again for a replacement. I am not a person who can just run out a drop a couple of hundred for a replacement. It took me over 6 months to put that much aside. RUN FROM THIS PRODUCT.

2Good, but wifi connection too unpredictable
By kimmicocopop
I did a bit of research before deciding on this device. I purchased it from the skytex store & the first one had to be returned immediately because of having dirt under the glass. Of course I had to pay for shipping to send it back, and it took nearly a month for them to send me the replacement.

After getting the 2nd one I started up the device & set things up. It responded well as far as touch response goes & was fast enough with browsing, etc. However, playback of youtube videos was a continuous problem because of wifi drops. Netflix playback was also unpredictable since wifi dropped so frequently. I added a wifi fixer app as suggested by the tech at skytex but that didn't help a lot, although it did help some. It was suggested that my router might be the problem, however our kindle, laptop, phone, desktop computer and other devices never dropped the wifi connection so...yea.

I never got to watch a netflix video all the way through without wifi dropping out. I wasn't able to watch a youtube video on the device without first downloading it with tubemate, so obviously that's a problem too. It was just too much of a pain so I had to return it. I ended up getting a Kobo Arc, which has been an awesome device so far & has yet to lose the wifi connection.

I wanted this device to be good since it had a number of features I was looking for (especially SD card storage which is hard to come by in a 7" tablet). But having stable wifi connection is more important to me than expandable storage so for that reason I wouldn't recommend it.

1What a piece of garbage
By Lobster Mobster
I got one of these for free as part of a Black Friday promotion. I think I may have overpaid.

It looks like a pretty standard tablet. Very thin, very shiny, feels quality. First time it boots up, the screen looks rather nice with good, bright color. Mine had a couple of dead pixels, which was unfortunate. I thought the industry was beyond that. But whatever, for free I can deal with a few dead pixels.

This thing is not compatible with Google Play. That's kind of a big deal to me. I have an Android phone so I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy apps twice, which actually isn't a problem because the Imagine 7 uses its own little app store which is quite limited. Fortunately I did find avast!, which I immediately went to install because I love me some protection. avast! installed just fine and started walking me through setup when it suddenly locked up. Did a hard restart, feeling fortunate I had chosen NOT to enable root protection... locked during boot. I had to restart it three more times to actually get it to fully boot, and as I went to go uninstall avast!, it locked up again.

Seven boots later, I managed to uninstall avast!. I think. It asked me for my pin during uninstallation but gave me an "uninstallation complete" message before I could enter it and then - you guessed it - locked up.

Now it won't even power on, and right now I honestly don't even care.
