JUST WHAT I WANTED
By Jersey Girl
I have been looking for a tablet/netbook/laptop for two years. I did not have wireless in my home ( I use a windows desktop computer). I didn't want to pay a lot and just wanted something with a keyboard and wifi.I also wanted to be able to view and edit Word and Excel docs. It also had to support Flash as my cable company is starting to change our email system over to a flash-based one.
I did not want too smaill or too large of a screen so I decided on the 10 inch screen. Keyboard is very user friendly.
This is Android 4.0 and has so many features. I will try and go through everything but don't hesitate to ask me questions;
**Measures 7.5" by 11 inches and 7 inches deep. About 1 inch high with 4 rubberized feet. It fit into an 8.5 by 11 padded envelope ( Until I get a case :) )
**Came with a mini two button scroll mouse ( nice bonus).
**Screen is very vibrant and you select wallpapers or photos from the settings page or your sd or usb.
** It recognized my usb key, sc card and even my usb cord to my cellphone with no problems
** Has 3 usb ports, an ethernet port, headphone jack and mic jack.
** You can use the computer when it is plugged into the adapter. The battery status is always indicated in the system tray
**There are arrow keys and a FN ( function) key so you can use the arrow keys for page up, page down, etc. There are also the traditional "F" Keys ( F1, etc)
**You can hold and "drag" apps onto the Main Screen. Also, you can drag the Main screen off to the side and have different apps on different screens
**It came pre-loaded with the following apps:
Browser, calculator,Calender,Camera( not a web camera but it's nice),clock, an app to see your downloads ( mine are from gmail, I setup an account just for this computer), email, file manager, Gmail, Messenger, Movie studio,OFFICE SUITE PRO, People, Play Store, Quick Pic, Search, Google Search, Seetings, SKype, Sound Recorder and Super HD Play.
**Widgets are analog clock, Bookmark, Bookmarks, Calendar and contact
** There are icons in the system tray for gmail notifications, time, battery status, wifi status, home screen, setting, usb card and an icon that will show you the last three screens you accessed.
**Internet is optimized for Android and some sites are weird with Android but you can request the desktop version of the website from the settings while you are in the browser.
** I was not able to view email attachment from web based Outlook email but when I forwarded them to my Gmail account, I had no problem.
** Under System settings, there is WIFI (shows al networks, etc) and advanced setting for airplane mode, mobile, etc
** Also under System settings is Data usage, Sound, Display, Storage, Battery,
Apps,Accounts and Sync, Security ( you set a PIN to log on or a pattern or face unlock, or a password,, as well as encrypt the tablet)----
** Also under Settings: Language and input ( auto correct, text to speech output), Backup and Reset, Date and TIme, Acessibilty ( you can set it to speak passwords, and show large text)
Developer options and general info about the netbook.
Wolvol customer support is quick and they are terrific to deal with. When I had a probelm getting WIfi they kept emailing me to get updates until I finally figured out how to setup a wireless router ( 2 days and a 40 min phone call to the router company) and I setup the netbook to access my cable company's WIFI hotspots.
No problems with WIFI or WOLVOL. Just a great computer and a great company.
I apologize for my typos and I am just thrilled that this turned out to be such a fantastic purchase. Between trying to pick a netbook/tablet/laptop and installing a home wireless network, I was ready to give up. Glad I didn't because I love this machine.
If you have anything you would like to know specifically, let me know.

Great Android notebook, exceptional value and service
By Diane Elaine Jordan Moor
This notebook packs a lot of powerful features into a small, very economical package. This newer updated version has solves the only reservation I had about the earlier version which had only 256 Megs of RAM. This update to 1 Gig of RAM makes this an ideal lightweight notebook with the capabilities and features of a much pricier and heavier laptop and also many of the benefits of a tablet. Great buy. I recommend it.
Shipping was fast and the follow up service and advice I asked for were very helpful and prompt. The service is provided by folks in the USA who are also part of the company itself, not a remote, offshore call center with people who don't understand the product and whose English is a challenge to understand. I re4commend email contact for fast, knowledgeable, very polite answers to your questions or requests.

You read it right: it's really an Android netbook
By corgitechie
I found this netbook first on Amazon, but later decided to deal directly with WolVol, the makers of this netbook. I have had great customer service from this company, receiving most responses in a timely manner. The company is great to deal with and gives you a personalized feeling, along with getting access to very creative, cutting edge products like this Android netbook.
Think of a Android tablet with a built-in keyboard. For some, the small, light feel of the keyboard may take some getting used to, but I find I like to type on it, even though I have a Microsoft laptop as well. You learn one thing very quickly: do not hold down the backspace button, or you will find yourself pressing undo quite a bit :) But once you learn this, you're fine. I downloaded the Kingsoft Office app from the Google Play marketplace (it's really the Android marketplace!) and I work on my college work on it.
You won't be able to download every single app from there, but you will be able to download a whole LOT (the mainstream ones like the YouVersion Bible app, Angry Birds, Dropbox, and many, many more), and if you go through the app the netbook gives you, it lists which ones you'll be able to get when you do a normal search for the app you want.
If you want a netbook, something that seems very unique and cutting edge, and great customer service, then I wholeheartedly recommend this product. I have the white one from WolVol, and WolVol also has many other unique electronics.
One last word on their customer service: when I received the netbook in, it didn't take long for me, through corresponding with WolVol, to realize that I had a lemon. WolVol made the returning process very smooth for me and sent me the current netbook I have right back, which works fine. If you're looking for something as flawless as an Ipad, don't get this. But if you're looking for a unique product with a simple interface and even more than a few surprises on what it can do, then go for it. You won't be disappointed.
