Very Thin and Light with Outstanding High-Rez Screen

Very portable (aside from charger) and easy to use with super sharp screen and fast, responsive operation. The tablet has about half the screen area as my Motorola Xoom 10 inch tablet, with half the weight but has the same 1280 x 800 resolution. Cons (docking 1 star) are relatively short battery life (4-5 hours max) and a large fixed prong charger with thick proprietary USB cable employing a comically huge slot connector that looks like a double-sized IPOD/IPAD connector. The bulky Toshiba charger can be replaced by any USB 5V unit that provides 2 Amps/10Watts or more and can be found by searching for IPAD chargers. A nice small charger with folding prongs is the AmazonBasics Wall Charger with USB Outlet(2.1 Amp Output).

The only computer you'll ever need!

Although my first THRIVE arrived DOA, Amazon shipped out a replacement without requiring me to first return the defective unit. The THRIVE and its 200,000 Android apps is a capable replacement for my Samsung Netbook, Apple iPad and Droid 2 smartphone. The only reason I'm keeping my Dell ZINO desktop around is to connect it to my home theater system and use my Visio drawing software. THRIVE can also connect to my TV via HDMI but, I would have to switch to AutoCad WS for my drawings.

Bad Product...over priced...poor return service

I purchased this through an Amazon seller. I have returned many items over the years with no restocking fee of 20% so I had no reason to look for the small print on this deal...and I also did not receive any information from the seller or Amazon about a return shipping label and therefore had to pay for the return shipping of $7.00 when I sent it off to what appears to be an individual named "Luna Lynn" living in Fairfax, VA. (Not the name of the company who sent it to me.) I ordered this item in good faith and it was not as described with regard to image and sound quality. Now I must pay a total of $72.00 to send it back within it's legal 30 day limit. For me, that describes a rip off of the first degree.
