4For what it is and the price paid, it is outstanding.
By Christian Girard
I need to start this review with the caveat that I bought this item during a Black Friday sale so my purchase price was approximately half of the listed price. With that perspective, this tablet has exceeded all of my expectations. I have since seen the item listed for $89 and at this price it remains a very good deal. I also own an ASUS Transformer TF300T so I am familiar with both the Android OS and a high-end Android tablet.

PROS:

The 754TPC is surprisingly fast for a single core processor. When Google Play is installing or updating software, then you will notice a response lag, but if you are working with one program, the tablet is adequately fast. For most games, Audible, Kingsoft Office, Netflix, and Kindle apps, I did not experience any performance issues. The battery time seems above average for a device of this size. Starting with a full charge, I can play backgammon and/or UNO all day and have 60% battery life remaining. I have watched two Netflix movies with perhaps 48% battery remaining. The device has a micro-SD slot and I have successfully used a 32GB Class 10 card in it. It has a micro-USB slot for charging and connecting it to computers. The WIFI works extremely well for me, I have yet to have the device drop a connection. The device came with Google Play and the King Kong store. Most people reading this review are familiar with Google Play. King Kong is a list of software that is listed by category. It seems to have a good selection, but I have not tried any.

CONS:

After a month of continuous usage, I have discovered only four cons. For three of the cons, I am unwilling to deduct a star because of the low purchase price. The device does not have bluetooth capability. For me, this means that I cannot connect the tablet to my other devices to share files or play games; no big loss. I also do not like that the a/c charger tablet connector is a cylinder type, which means that the charger will require more research effort on my part in order to replace it. However, I can charge the device using a standard micro-USB cable. The most noticeable con is the font display resolution. You can change the font size in the Settings, but for some reason the fonts are not as clear as I would expect. For this reason, I deducted a star. The last con is that while iVIEW has published a firmware update, I was unable to download and run the installation program. There may be developer ROMs available, but the device currently meets all of my needs so I will leave it as it is.

In conclusion, I am extremely happy with this device.

5What a surprise!
By BigBadWolf
Bought this tablet, not expecting much, with a gift card from work. Just wanted to try the 7" tablet segment. But boy was I surprised! I knew going in that it did not have gps or bluetooth and for a very cheap tablet that was ok. I have my Touchpad for real tablet stuff. This little guy booted quickly and connected to every wifi network I have tried. The thing has very acceptable battery life and can be charged with either the supplied ac charger or via usb. The screen like every other touch screen device, picks up finger prints. I put a 16gb microsd card in it and loaded some cool music and movies and all worked flawlessly. Every app I have tried has worked and get this, I was able to delete the preinstalled apps that I knew I would not use. Can't even do that with my wife's Xoom. I really feel that this will be a fun addition to my tech arsenal.

Edit 5/9/2013: The resolution 800x480 will be a problem with some apps but I still like it. The Kindle app works fine and reading is a decent enough experience.

Nice pad for the price. Good to watch movies, play games, and surf the web. Decent selection of applications. Family enjoys it.
