Asus Transformer Pad Tablet TF300T-A1-BK 10.1" 16GB Black Android 4.0 Review

Featuring an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the TF300T, successor to the TF101, delivers optimal performance and mobility. Productivity is unhindered with the optional docking station with QWERTY keyboard that extends battery life up to 15 hours and the tablet's numerous preloaded productivity applications. Measuring only 0.39" thin and weighing a mere 1.4 lbs, the Transformer Pad TF300T is thinner and lighter, allowing mobile users to travel lightly. The quad-core Tegra 3 processor delivers almost twice the Web browsing performance and up to 61 percent lower power consumption than the previous generation Tegra 2 dual-core processor. The docking option extends the tablet's battery life to up to 15 hours and incorporates a QWERTY keyboard, a multi-touch touchpad, a USB port and SD card reader. The pre-installed Polaris Office software lets users view and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentation files. Users can take notes via keyboard or touch, and add photos and video captures or audio notes with SuperNote. App locker and App Backup protect important files. Users can share presentations by outputting content to HDTVs and projectors via the tablet's micro-HDMI port. The latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system delivers smoother user interface transitions, improved responsiveness, supports Adobe Flash, and grants access to the growing Android market.

4Better Than Most
By ninosyl
I like this device because of its functionality and the speed of its performance. Why I didn't give it a five star rating is because of a couple of quirks. One, I have to use a stylus to do this review because of the over sensitivity of the screen and the built in keyboard. For instance, I'm a touch system typist, so I try to use more of my fingers, but when I do, the letters come up when my fingers just hover over them, and the auto complete function takes over, wrongly completing the phrase or sentence. No problem though when I use the stylus. Two, when surfing the net for information or whatever, if I stay on the site for a while, maybe pausing to talk to someone, the device switches over to another site, all by itself,--mostly to an Asus video. Other than that, this Transformer pad will delight those who are gamers and not an avid blogger or email writer as I am. I also love the large format for taking photos or recording videos. But not writing. Perhaps my finger tips are just too electrified. I'll check with my neurologist.

5Love it.

At first I could not get it to turn on out of the box, but after leaving it on charge for a little bit it fired right up and has surpassed my expectations since. Battery life is excellent and most of the free apps are just what I need.
